one of my favorite things about marriage - or even just life in general - is pillow talk.

you know those conversations you have in bed when you spend hours talking about everything/nothing and accidentally stay up way too late? and for some reason the dim lights and soft mattress seem to make divulging your inner most thoughts and feelings a perfectly comfortable thing to do.

i think pillow talk is one of the best things to do to better figure out yourself and get closer to someone. and i feel so lucky to have such a dear husband who doubles as my very best friend that i love spilling my guts to and i'm always so fascinated to hear his opinions and outlook on life.

something i remember thinking was so strange when we first started dating was how naturally we clicked and how it was so easy to talk to him. it was like he understood me quicker and better than anyone else ever had. sometimes it freaked me out how he just got me...haha at times it was literally like he knew me better than i knew myself. dating and getting to know nicolaus was one of the most scary and wonderful and thrilling times in my life.

i'm so glad we took the leap into marriage and i got him as my permanent pillow talk buddy :)
