i'm going to take a break from my australia posts, to insert a little post about the happenings of late. because it felt like we hit the ground running the minute our plane landed in salt lake, and i'm still trying to wrap my head around all the happenings. and what better way to organize your thoughts than divulging some of them in a blog post?
+ done some schnowboarding. unfortunately, for me, this also resulted in the worst nose bleed of my life. the only time i ever get nose bleeds are when i travel and go from one extreme altitude to another. which means that the moment i got to the top of the lift at brighton, the blood started coming and didn't stop until getting to the bottom of the run, using lot of tissues, gagging and coughing up a bit of blood (both disgusting and traumatic), and i may or may not have put a tampon in my nostril to gain some control over the situation. which may or may not have stretched my abnormally small nostril to the point of extreme pain. it was quite a disaster, but at least i made it out alive. the only real casualty was my face mask...
+ on a brighter and much more fun note, nicolaus and i got to help out a friend with a school project. she filmed us frolicking about in this video. it was a lot of fun to do, and even though i felt really dumb and dorky about it at times during filming, she was able to use her creative magic and turn out a video that i love watching and i think is so fun to have!
+ we've had a great time socializing and catching up with friends and family. amidst sunday dinners, weekends in syracuse and breakfast club with some of mah best lady friends, i have been managed to keep all sorts of busy.
+ every year i make it a goal to see all the movies nominated for best picture in the oscars, and every year i fail at it. but that did not deter me from making it a goal this year! so far i've only seen the grand budapest hotel and the imitation game, and i love them both! and plan on doing a lot more  movie-going with nicolaus in the near future.
+ besides from spending the majority of my time working full-time at skullcandy, they also stole me away for a weekend in san francisco! which i am not complaining about. it was my first work trip, and turns out, i am a fan of work trips. i'll be sharing more about that all in a later post...but for now i'll just be trying my best to keep my head above water, wittle down my to-do list and find some free time to catch up on what feels like a bajillion blog posts.
