over the summer, when nicolaus and i were in albuquerque for our first time helping my sister's family move in, her husband, collin, made a comment about how excited he was to live near some mountains again. nicolaus (who is used to the massive rocky mountains) quickly shot him down and told him that those "hills" don't count as mountains.
collin was not going to let nick's snarky remark slide, and was set on proving him wrong this trip. so yesterday afternoon we drove to the top of a nearby mountain to enjoy its height and incredible view and trees and coldness and its many other mountain-like qualities in all their glory. turns out, nicolaus had to eat his words :)
Amazing photographs , looks like a wonderful adventure :)

ReplyDeleteman...i wish i lived close to mountains again! (or even "hills" haha)
ReplyDeleteI could never live far from mountains. There is just something so snug about living in a valley and something so peaceful about escaping to the mountains for a day.
