nicolaus and i had such a good time fishing up the canyon last weekend that we decided to do it again this weekend. so yesterday morning we started out the day with fresh donuts from a local bakery and headed up the canyon with abigayle, kerry & austin. 

the spot seemed even more blissful and serene than before. the flowers were blooming, the sun was shining & the fish were biting. at least one particular rainbow trout was! i caught my very first fish via fly fishing! i even held it. it was kinda gross and i felt pretty bad for the fish...but i do have to admit it was really exciting and pretty magical to release it back into the river. nick just might be able to actually convert me to fly fishing...
