last week our friend mo heard that there were a bunch of giant sunflowers up little cottonwood canyon - naturally, abigayle and i were set on making a trip up there when we heard this. nicolaus mostly just entertained us by coming along ;)
after driving up there and walking around some trails we didn't find any giant sunflowers, but we did find fields and fields of yellow daisies and purple wildflowers. plus some INCREDIBLE views. it was my first time up little cottonwood canyon and i instantly fell in love. everyone was blown away how pretty it was in the summertime. i didn't even have a chance to feel sad about missing out on any earlier visions of mountains of these giant sunflowers! it honestly blows my mind how much beauty there is in utah that i have yet to explore...
p.s. we just discovered the giant sunflowers DO exist - just up sundance, not little cottonwood...so we may be making another mountain trek in the near future :)
