on sunday nicolaus and i went on a drive through a canyon and along the coast. it was the best kind of drive. the kind with good music blasting and windows rolled all the way down. it reminded me so much of when we were dating and spent most of a summer doing just that along the california coastline. 
we also got out of the car to walk around on some pretty, nearly isolated beach. there was a lot of wind, a lot of pelicans and a lot of insanely gorgeous turquoise water. i love these moments and i love this place so much, but i will say i've never been less sad to leave here, because we are flying out to london/denmark this evening!!!
