friday morning i saw this cute, crafty blog post. i figured it was yet another diy idea to be pinned and forgotten...
until friday afternoon when i was looking for christmas gifts for other people and i saw spotted those adorable little trees and was so mesmerized by their sparkle that i couldn't help buying a few...
and i'm so glad i did! because not only was it a lot of fun/EASY to make them they inspired me to dust off all of our christmas decorations (we have about three..haha) and lights and spread some festivities throughout our home. every night since then nicolaus and i sit on the couch for a few minutes before going to bed to soak in all the magical christmas glow. plus we are going to get a real tree this year! which has always been a childhood fantasy of mine so i hope nick is prepared for 5-year-old shayla to emerge.
p.s. i just used cotton balls instead of faux glitter snow in the globes. and i made a few glittered out mason jars by spraying adhesive mounting spray on the inside, pouring in some glitter, putting on the lid and shaking rather vigorously.
they turned out great! so cute

ReplyDeleteXO.
Great idea! I love myself some mason jars...they are so versatile! The cotton balls are a great, and inexpensive, substitute.
